Laurel Ridge Farms - We will be having week-long camps starting the week of June
18, 2006 and running until the end of July. We are offering day camp for $350 a
week (Monday - Friday 9-5) with a $100 deposit, which includes lunches, and
overnight camp for $500 a week (arriving Sunday afternoon and leaving Saturday
morning) with a $150 deposit, which includes all meals. There is also a
family/friend discount of $50 off for 2 or more campers. A typical day includes:
morning riding lesson, focusing on English riding skills and horsemanship (campers
will be grouped according to their riding level), barn chores, such as cleaning stalls,
feeding/watering horses, cleaning tack, arts and crafts activities, such as pottery,
scrapbooks/picture books, lunch, fieldtrip (once or twice a week, or on rainy days)
to places such as Amicalola Falls, Burt's Pumpkin Farm, The Kangaroo
Conservation, Dahlonega Gold Mines, Tubing in Dahlonega, the Family Fun Center,
or the movies in Dawsonville, then we will have an afternoon ride that may include
trail riding, games on horseback, scavenger hunts, bareback riding through the
sprinklers or in the lake. We also go swimming in the farm's private lake almost
every day in the heat of the day. We really work to provide a clean, safe, and
appropriate atmosphere for the campers so that they can have fun and be safe at

horses and the farm in general and also includes a list of materials to bring to
